WONDERFUL CREATIVE FUN AND EDUCATIONAL TOO

​What a great way to keep up to 12 children or adults occupied for at least two hours ! £18 per child for a 2 1/2 hour party 
The whole activity will normally take two hours, from start to finish. 
Party bags  £4 each- a paper bag  containing a mixture of coloured Merino wool tops, some bubble wrap to make the felt on, and a worksheet with instructions so everyone can make some felt at home. There will be room to pop in some cake too. 

The birthday girl or boy can choose a theme for the party and the type of felted item that can be made. In the time given it is possible to make a felted picture, which can then be framed and put on the wall. The pictures can be of a given theme, or felt flower brooches can be made. I will supply all the extras so that everyone goes home with a finished result. The felt can be decorated afterwards as well. Whatever item you would like to make, do contact me and I'll see what I can do for you !

I can travel to your choice of venue, whether it is your home or elsewhere.  All I need is a large sturdy table to work at. I will need quite a generous amount of space to lay out all the wool, and an area that has a tiled floor is preferable. I have waterproof tablecloths and plenty of towels.
First,  we will briefly look at what felt making actually entails before embarking on getting all the wool out.  After learning about how to lay out the wool, everyone will create their designs.  This is the part where it is important to focus and spend time drawing with the wool. I will provide images and inspiration for this bit. The excitement then continues with the actual wet felt making process, everyone loves this part, it's really fun ! 
I explain the process and how to complete the felting so it is ready to dry out.  There really is something to engage everyone and there is of course the huge satisfaction of having made something at the end, and having learnt a process. It is such a hands on technique, you can guarantee the party will be a huge success !  Please do contact me with your party enquiries !
